Multiplex Rodent Station
Handcut vinyl and magnetic material on ferrous surfaces.
Multiplex Rodent Station is a series of work on the streets in Brooklyn using material scraps salvaged from my day job in motion picture industry.
I’m disturbed by the reactionary response of utilizing rat poison, like these multiplex rodent stations {what a name!} to eradicate animals that accumulate around and survive on human waste. Poison upon trash. My disturbance extends to herbicides, petrochemicals, clear cutting and so forth. I imagine the animals as witnessing, with utter perplexity, the destructive practices and absurdity of humanity.
These sparkly vinyl rats and other accumulations are small outcries.
